help with getting books onto PRS T1

Got this new shiny red e-reader today... so fed up with it already!! The Reader store is not working in the U.K. - well done Sony! My god, what's the point of launching this??? PC World highly recommended it.... grrrrr.... I have downloaded a few free e-books, they won't load, nothing will load despite perfect wi-fi connection. I just want some books that aren't the 5 rubbish books that came with it. I have tried to sort this for hours and am so fed up. My iphone 4s was set up in minutes, this has taken 3 hours of my life, loaded sony, latest downloads, reader for pc, latest adobe. I have run out of ideas now other than to stamp on it or return it to PC World tomorrow! Help!!!! Should it sync books automatically once I have loaded all this stuff onto my laptop??

    Hi jacks247,

    welcome to Questions & Answers..

     

    Have you downloaded the ebooks to your PC & imported them in to Reader for PC.?

     

    If the ebooks are located on your PC then try the following..

    To sync the books to your reader you need to do the following..

    Switch both your PC & Reader on

    Connect your Reader to your PC using the supplied USB lead..

    Once the USB connected screen appears on your Reader press Data Transfer Mode..

    After a few minutes Reader for PC should launch..

    Initially only the Library & Store Icons may be visible in Reader for PC, if so wait a few more minutes & you should see the Reade Icon appear..

    To Sync your Reader for PC with your Reader click the Reader icon..

    Then click on the Sync button (far right)

    Under Sync Settings - Select the category you wish to sync from on the Category list..

    Sync all if you want to sync everything..

    Then on the left click on the Sync button just below the Reader image..

    Sync in Progress window should appear..

    Once the Sync window disappears disconnect the USB cable

    The Items that you have just synced should appear in Recently Added on your Readers Home page 1 of 2
